About LandedCity

Why we built this

Moving to a new city is exciting — until you realise you have no idea which SIM card works for expats, which bank account you can open without a local address, or which neighbourhood is actually safe and affordable. I spent hours digging through Reddit threads, outdated blog posts, and Facebook groups full of conflicting advice just to answer questions that someone who had moved a year earlier could answer in five minutes.

LandedCity was born from that frustration. The idea is simple: the best guide to settling into a new city is not written by a travel blogger — it is written by someone who just did it. Someone who actually stood in that queue, opened that bank account, and learned which streets to avoid at rush hour.

We built a platform where those people can share what they know, where every tip is reviewed before it goes live, and where a newcomer landing today can find an honest, specific answer in minutes instead of hours.

How it works

  1. 1

    Community contributes

Expats and long-term residents share first-hand tips — not opinions, but actual steps they took and what happened.

  2. 2

    Every tip is reviewed

Our moderation team checks each submission before it goes live. Outdated or misleading tips get flagged and removed.

  3. 3

    You land faster

A newcomer arriving today gets clear, specific, up-to-date guidance from people who have been in exactly their situation.

Real contributors

Expats and residents sharing first-hand experience — not AI-generated content.

Moderated tips
